Skylight Blinds            

Velux windows usually need blinds. As do any other make of Sky-light window, including the likes of Fakro.

Geniune Velux blind options:

• Velux Roller blinds - purpose built manually operated Roller blinds
• Velux - Solar Powered Remote-controlled Roller blinds
• Velux Venetian blinds - The usual raise, lower and tilt options
• Duo Blackout blinds - Combination of a Blackout Roller to stop light coming in then, rolling back to reveal a shear look Pleated blind that allows subdued light in
• Flying Pleated blinds - A Pleated blind that is not fixed at either end to allow freedom to move the blind to any point in the window

Non-Standard options include:

• Bloc skylight blinds - a range of blind to fit almost any Skylight window in a large range of colours
• Easi-Stop Roller Blinds for both Velux and non-Velux Skylight windows
• Perfect-fit - Rollers or Pleateds - In this instance, the Perfect Fit frame would be screwed to the wooden frame of the window & not supplied as a 'No Drilling' option
• Pleated - Sky-light blinds will allow either subdued light, blackout and heat reflective or even both
• White or Silver frame option

The Solar Powered Remote-controlled Roller blinds from Velux are becoming very popular.

Perhaps, you may need to consider a Fire Retardant fabric if fitting one to a Velux style fire escape hatch in order to comply with building regulations on any Loft conversion.
