 Wooden Venetians are very much 'In Vogue' at the moment.

• Sunwood range of wooden Venetians in 3 slat widths of 25mm, 35mm & 50mm in 12 colours.
• Silkwood range (sometimes known as Arena, Hillarys or Dimensions) also in 12 colours & 3 slat widths. Corded or Taped ladder finish available.
• Palmwood range of Basswood timber Venetians in either 25mm or 50mm options with either cord or tape finish. The price of these reflect the completely hand built quality.
• Sunway wooden Venetians - large range of colour & slat width options.

All of these options are a beautiful addition to your room & will create a Colonial feel to many modern homes.

Colours in the wooden Venetian range will match or compliment most wooden floors, work tops, cupboards, office/study, bedroom & livingroom furniture.

It is impotant that you consider however, that there may be one or two reasons why these may not be suitable for all situations.

Firstly, consider where you are likely to have these blinds & how often you need to move them to get to a window or a door.

The other consideration is to what they are to be fitted to. Will the weight of them (as they are very heavy at times) allow you to pull them up without difficulty or will the fittings take the weight from the effort required to pull them up & down?

Wooden Venetians are by the nature of the material, very bulky & when pulled up may in fact block any top opening window & restrict air-flow. If fitted over a door, will they restrict headroom?

Natural materials like wood may have a small degree or warping at any time & may warp excessively in very damp areas like bathrooms or in areas of extreme temperature such as a conservatory.

Fitting wooden Venetian blinds into PVC-u conservatories can sometimes have limited sucess.

Consider changing to the lighter weight Aluwood Venetians that will overcome the above situations but still give the look of wood!
